You also, can't power things from it, even though itself is powered by a mains adapter which I think is criminal. This isn't 100% usb compatable, implies that if is like a wired usb 2 port but isn't. If you plan to run anything other than a usb drive best to test that it works first in the shop. Don't buy it, it's nearly completely useless, and judging from the other reviews unreliable and buggy to boot. This is my first negative review in 5 years of shopping with Amazon.
Iffy performance at a high price. Alternate: For $150-200 you can buy a low end netbook to multifunction as a wireless USB hub, media server for your hi-def TV, portable movie player, etc. The netbook will function wirelessly up to the capabilities of your wi-fi router and provide portable storage and access to your media and/or backups for travel.
I am really happy with the product. The only limitation that I found was when printing large PDFs the communication would sometimes timeout.
This is one of the worst devices I've wasted my money on in a long time. I used to think Belkin made good products but this is most likely the last thing I ever buy with their name on it. It can barely maintain a line-of-sight connection at arms length. I thought it was a defect with my radio but apparently seeing the experiences of others both here and on the forums, this hub is just a pile of dog excrement. It can barely maintain a connection to print. Honestly, you're better off buying a 10' USB cable.
I get an error message with each print attempt. I bought this setup for a direct view link with my ugly printers. It worked great for two weeks and now the signal from Windows is corrupting as it goes through the wireless process to the hub. Sending it to Belkin to see what's wrong. Now my ugly printer is out in full view.
